Terms of Service
Last updated: May 24, 2026
Acceptance
By creating an account or using API Monitor (“the Service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
What you get
The Service polls usage data from the OpenAI and Anthropic APIs using credentials you provide, compares it against thresholds you configure, and dispatches notifications (email / Slack) when those thresholds are crossed. Plan limits (key count, alert channels, team seats) are enforced as documented on the Pricing page.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your account credentials and app API key secret. Rotate them immediately if exposed.
- Use the Service only for legitimate monitoring of API spend you own or are authorized to monitor.
- Do not attempt to bypass plan limits, reverse-engineer the verifier, or abuse the alert pipeline.
- Comply with the upstream terms of service of every provider whose keys you add (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. You can cancel any time — your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period, then automatically downgrades to Free. We do not issue prorated refunds for unused time on monthly subscriptions.
Availability & SLA
We aim for 99.9% uptime on the monitoring cron and alerting pipeline. The Service is provided “as is” — we do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for missed alerts caused by upstream provider outages (OpenAI, Anthropic, SendGrid, Slack) or for consequential damages from API overspend.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the platform, or fail payment. You may delete your account at any time from the dashboard.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced via email or an in-app banner at least 14 days before they take effect.
